SSC Part-II Result, 2024

We are thrilled to announce this year’s outstanding SSC Part-II result, which is once again remarkable and better than ever. This result is the outcome of the visionary leadership and tireless efforts of Principal Brig Mujahid Alam (Retd) and of Vice Principal and Headmaster Senior School, M. Arshad Iqbal Chaudhry, that our students have achieved remarkable success.

Our teachers have been the driving force behind this excellence, providing continuous guidance, support, and encouragement to our students. Their relentless pursuit of excellence has instilled in our students the values of hard work, perseverance, and a never-give-up attitude, truly embodying the College motto ‘Never Give In’. The dedication, commitment and teaching skills of our teachers are of outstanding quality clearly manifested by practical results.

This year, 49 students appeared for the SSC Part-II Examination 2024, with an impressive 43 students securing A+ Grade, and 6 students achieving A Grade.

Ahmed Shayan and Ajlan Abbas Mir topped the list with an outstanding 1138 marks and a percentage of 94.83%,

Mir Mehroz remained third by securing 1119 marks and a percentage of 93.25%.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our high-achieving students and their proud parents. However, our greatest appreciation goes to our dedicated teachers, who have worked tirelessly to nurture and mentor our students. Their unwavering commitment, expertise, and passion for teaching have made a significant impact on our students’ lives, shaping them into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.

Investiture Ceremony, 2024

On June 26, 2024, the Senior School gathered at Hamid Hall to witness the investiture ceremony of the prefectorial board for the academic year 2024-2025. This momentous occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership.

The selection process was meticulous, considering academic excellence, co-curricular achievements, and outstanding personal conduct. The Principal personally interviewed the candidates to assess their leadership potential.

The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Hashir Waheed, followed by its eloquent translation by Hadi Nadeem. Ahmad Shayan, a Class XI student, skillfully moderated the proceedings.

The Vice Principal formally announced the new prefectorial board, and the oath-taking ceremony ensued with dignity. Abdul Rafay Bhatti, the newly appointed Head Boy, took the oath, followed by Umer Maqsood, the Deputy Head Boy, and the prefects.

Honour Day Celebration: A Showcase of Excellence at Prep School

Preparatory School, first time in the history of Lawrenec College, hosted the Honour Day Celebration on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Hamid Hall. This serene and graceful event highlighted the remarkable achievements of the young Gallians of Prep School and was a testament to their integrity  and sound character.

The event commenced with Saad Rafi from Class-7, who gracefully handled the proceedings as the Stage Secretary. Saad’s poise and confidence ensured a smooth flow of the function, engaging the audience throughout the programme.

Following this, Raja Safi Ullah from Class-7 opened the ceremony with a beatific recitation, creating a respectful atmosphere in Hamid Hall. Muhammad Sami, also from Class-7, then delivered translation, further enriching the audience’s understanding and appreciation of the recitation.

Laraib Ali from Class-8 delivered an impressive English speech, showing the students’ skill in the language and their ability to talk about important topics. He shared the journey of the Honour Purchase System, lock-free cupboards, introduction of Honour Shield and badges to strengthen honesty and integrity in Gallians. After this, Afnan Mazhar from Class-7 gave a powerful Urdu speech, reflecting the cultural heritage and language skills learned at Lawrence College. He also talked about the Honour Purchase System and lock free cupboards besides the importance of a sound character and integrity in human life.

An interesting part of the event was called “A Talk with a Stranger.” M Adnan, M Shayan, and Junaid Ahmed from Class-7 performed a thoughtful dialogue. They shared the incident of   meeting with a stranger on the Mall Road Murree, and told her about the Honour Purchase System at Prep School. Their performance showed creativity and teamwork, earning them well-deserved applause.

A special video presentation ‘Zero Point’ was shown, highlighting important moments and achievements from the Honour Purchase System to the lock-free cupboards. It also included motivational videos on the Honour Purchase System, feedback from the parents of the young Gallians, and views from some old Gallians.

The Headmaster Prep School, Mr Imtiaz Aklhtar Ranjha,  then delivered a speech that resonated with gratitude and pride, commending the students for their exemplary character where integrity was at its peak. His words were a testament to the dedication and hard work of both students and staff.

The Principal Lawrence College, Brigadier Mujahid Alam (Retd), ended the event with a heartfelt speech. He praised the students for their outstanding efforts and the teachers for their support in running the Honour Purchase System, lock-free cupboards, open libraries, and the introduction of Honour Shield and badges by the Headmaster Prep School and his team. He talked about how important such celebrations are for giving students a sense of achievement and motivation.

The Principal said that the Honour Day Celebration reflected Prep School’s commitment to developing well-rounded students who excel both academically and in character. He praised the participants for their dedication and encouraged all students to keep striving for excellence.

Another feather in the cap of LCGG

The true measure of success for any educational institution lies in the accomplishments of its alumni. The achievements of alumni serve as a testament to the credibility and calibre of education provided by their alma mater. Among these distinguished individuals is Namar Tariq (Inter 2021) 148 PMA L/C. His selection for the Pakistan Military Academy, and subsequent selection after a rigorous and highly competitive process, to represent Pakistan at the Royal Military College in Australia are significant accolades, owed in part to his formative years at Lawrence College, Ghora Gali, Murree.  He will be commissioned as an officer in August 2024. Namar recently contacted his alma mater from Australia and shared the following message: –

“Lawrence College transcends the label of a mere school; it has been my nurturing sanctuary, instrumental in shaping my character and guiding my journey. The institution’s rigorous academic curriculum, coupled with its emphasis on physical and mental development, instilled in me the essential values and strategic acumen crucial for a successful military career. The bonds of camaraderie fostered within its walls undoubtedly contributed to the preparedness and achievements of its alumni, propelling them to the esteemed ranks of the Pakistan Army. As I embark on my mission to represent my nation on the global stage, I carry with me the esteemed legacy of Lawrence College, along with an unwavering commitment to uphold its principles of excellence and honor”.

Alumni Achievement: Mateen Tariq, SC 2015


We are pleased to share the outstanding achievement of our esteemed alumnus, Mateen Tariq, who passed out from Lawrence College in 2015 (Senior Cambridge 2015, Wright House). Mateen has recently cleared the highly competitive CSS 2023 exams and has been assigned to the Inland Revenue Department.
This remarkable accomplishment brings pride not only to Mateen and his family but also to the entire Old Gallians community and Lawrence College. We are delighted to see our alumni excelling in their chosen fields, making a positive impact in the world.

Former Headmaster Mr. Arjasab Khan Zafar Passes Away

It is with extreme grief and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Arjasab Khan Zafar, a distinguished educator and a great teacher.
Mr. Zafar’s profound dedication to encourage academic excellence and nurturing the potential of each student he encountered, left an enduring imprint on the fabric of our institution. As former Officiating Principal, Headmaster Senior School, and Housemaster of Wightwick House and Walker House, he exemplified leadership with grace and humility.
His legacy lives on through the countless lives he influenced, the minds he ignited, and the hearts he touched.
The Principal, faculty, staff, and students offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Arjasab Khan Zafar.

Congratulations to Dawood Khan on his outstanding achievement!


We feel pleased to announce that our alumnus, Dawood Khan, hailing from Pishin, Balochistan, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a good position in the Central Superior Service examination and has been offered a place in the prestigious foreign service.

Dawood’s hard work, dedication and passion for excellence led him to this incredible accomplishment, and we are proud of him. His achievement is a testament to LCGG’s commitment to guide talented individuals from diverse backgrounds especially those from underrepresented regions like Balochistan.

Dawood graduated from Lawrence College in 2017, where he excelled academically. He was Prefect of Walker House from 2016-2017. He was also honored with the coveted title of “Best Gallian of the Year 2017” in recognition of his outstanding performance. 

We wish Dawood all the best as he embarks on this new exciting chapter of his life; representing our country on the global stage. His success is an inspiration to our current students and we hope it motivates them to strive for excellence.

A Day of Love, Laughter, and Togetherness: Junior School’s Eid Milan Party

On April 26th, 2024, the Junior School organized a joyous Eid Milan Party, bringing together students, teachers, and staff to celebrate the spirit of Eid al-Fitr. This heartwarming event aimed to strengthen social bonds, promote unity, and share the joy of Eid with others.
The boys of Junior School dressed in their finest Eid attire, beaming with excitement and happiness. They showcased their talents by performing energetic dances to a variety of rhythmic cultural and Urdu songs, filling the atmosphere with joy and enthusiasm.
To make the day even more special, goody bags were distributed among the students, bringing smiles to their faces and making the celebration even more memorable.
This Eid Milan Party embodied the true spirit of Eid al-Fitr, promoting love, compassion, and unity among the students. By participating in this festive gathering, the boys experienced the warmth and joy of togetherness, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Arts Extravaganza: Celebrating Creativity and Environmental Consciousness

More than just a showcase of artistic flair, Art Extravaganza serves as a platform for students to unleash their creativity and connect with peers from other institutions. It fosters a spirit of camaraderie and collaboration, empowering young minds to envision themselves as stewards of our planet’s future.

Celebrating creativity and environmental consciousness, Lawrence College has been hosting the Art Extravaganza since 2016, each year with a unique theme related to the Earth Day. In 2024, the spotlight shone on the Earth Day is “Planet vs Plastics”. The main aim of the selected theme is to spark a conversation and inspire the wave of change to protect our planet for our future generation and to support the stance of our government to phasing out single-use plastic to reduce overall plastic consumption.

Renowned visual artist Mr. Aleem Dad Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest, his artistic prowess evident through numerous acclaimed exhibitions both locally and internationally. Radiating both digital and manual expertise, Mr. Aleem Dad Khan’s accomplishments eloquently showcase his immense talent and unwavering commitment to his craft. His participation imbued the event with an extra layer of splendor, elevating an already lively atmosphere to new heights of brilliance.

This year, twenty schools showcased their talents across nine diverse events, shining a light on the depth of artistic prowess within our community. From captivating performances to thought-provoking exhibits, the event was a vibrant celebration of artistic expression in all its forms. The discerning judges, meticulously evaluating each event and impartially announcing the deserving winners.

The “Arts Extravaganza” shield of 2024 was triumphantly seized by an exceptional force of artistic brilliance, led by Presentation Convent High School, Murree.

As the curtain fell on another successful extravaganza, Mr. Aleem Dad Khan commended the participants for their awe-inspiring performances. He also extended his gratitude to the administration of Lawrence College for nurturing such a platform for artistic exchange. In return, Brig. Mujahid Alam (Retd.), the Principal Lawrence College, expressed his heartfelt appreciation, presenting Mr. Khan with a college souvenir as a token of gratitude for his invaluable contribution.

Intermediate Part-I Students' Generous Gesture

In a heartwarming display of compassion and generosity, the students of Class XI at our College recently undertook a remarkable initiative. With a spirit of empathy that truly embodies the values we prioritize, they distributed 46 suits and contributed Rs. 70,000 to the Junior College Staff.

This act of kindness did not go unnoticed by our Principal, who was deeply moved by the students’ gesture. In expressing his appreciation, he emphasized the significance of compassion and empathy in our educational ethos. “We give top priority to these values,” he remarked, highlighting the importance of nurturing such qualities among our students.

At our College, we believe in cultivating a culture where empathy and kindness are not just encouraged but celebrated. The selfless actions of our Class XI students serve as a shining example of the positive impact that empathy can have on our community.

Through initiatives like this, we aim to instill in our students the values of compassion, empathy, and altruism, ensuring that they not only excel academically but also become caring and responsible individuals who contribute positively to society.

A Helping Hand Is A Bright Ray of Hope

Generosity is a source of true fulfillment, and for Gallians, it’s a cherished tradition to support their alma mater and extend a helping hand whenever possible. Continuing this noble legacy, the Gallians community COG recently demonstrated their commitment by donating 2,270,000 rupees to the custodial staff of Lawrence College Ghora Gali Murree on April 3rd, 2024.

This heartfelt contribution was graciously presented to the custodial team amidst the dignified setting of the Senior School premises, with Vice Principal Ch. Arshad Iqbal in attendance. Representing the COG, were esteemed alumni including Mr. Saif Ul Islam Afridi (President COG), Mr. Azam Effendi (Former president of OGAP), and Choudhry Muhammad (Founder of COG). Their presence underscored the unity and compassion that defines the Gallians’ spirit.

A sum of 10,000 rupees has been graciously distributed among the six most senior custodians, while 8,000 rupees each have been allocated to 177 members, and 5,000 rupees each to 155 members. It is our sincere hope that this gesture will enhance their comfort and contribute to their joy during the upcoming Eid festivities.

Principal Brig. Mujahid Alam (Retd), along with the faculty, students, and all junior staff members of Lawrence College, Ghora Gali, express profound gratitude for this act of generosity. May the benevolent donors be abundantly blessed, both in this life and the hereafter, for their compassionate deeds.

Pakistan Day 2024

Lawrence College marked the 84th Pakistan Day with fervour and patriotism. Special house assemblies were organised to commemorate the great struggle of the heroes of Pakistan Movement for the creation of a new state for Muslims.

The event saw young Gallians reflecting on the significance of the Pakistan Resolution, emphasizing our duties in the modern era. They honoured the invaluable contributions of visionaries like Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Liaquat Ali Khan, Mohtarama Fatima Jinnah, and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, whose unwavering dedication led to the creation of Pakistan. The festivities encompassed recitations from the Holy Quran, insightful speeches, stirring national songs, and the rendition of the national anthem, enhancing the essence of the occasion.

Welcome Party for the Newcomers of Junior School

Welcome party is proof that good times and great friends make the perfect combination. This gesture was witnessed on 21st March, 2024 in the welcome party which was specially organized for the all newcomers of the Junior School to make them feel comfortable in the new friendly environment of LCGG.

The Principal Lawrence College Brig (Retd) Mujahid Alam was the chief guest of the auspicious and colourful gathering. The event was commenced with the name of Allah. For this Malik Muhammad Harron and Muhammad Faraz Ellahi were called out for recitation and translation respectively. Zaid Ahmed Meharzada, Abdullah bin Haroon, Muhammad Suleman Sher, Muhammad bin Jawad and Kazi Qalb e Abbas conducted the whole event gracefully. Muhammad Haad Ahmed delivered the welcome speech in which he has assured newcomers on behalf of old boys that together they become a traffic team if they embrace each other with open hand, mind and heart. Boys of Junior School’s music choir sang welcome song in their melodious and sweet voice. Some boys performed dance in jubilant way. New boys exhibited their talent in the form of cultural dance and songs. M. Faizan thanked all the old boys in his thank you note on the behalf of new boys of the Junior School. In the sequence of program, the last segment of the event was bhangara which was energetically performed by Mir Tharo. Sir Principal gave delicious goody packs to the new entrants.

In concluding remarks, Sir Principal assured support and guidance to all the new admitted boys and they would be looked after and treated like his own grandsons. He advised them to consider this place as their second home and make new friends. At the end there was a house wise group photo of new entrants with Principal Lawrence College Brig (Retd) Mujahid Alam, HMJS Mrs Naheed Nadeem, DoS Mrs Uzma Afzal and their house staff respectively.

Newcomers Welcome Iftar Party at Prep School

Prep School hosted a warm and inclusive Iftar party to welcome newcomers and promoted Class-5 during the beatific month of Ramazan on March 21, 2023. The gathering was indication to the school’s commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and friendship among its students.

The programme commenced with a series of engaging activities and speeches, ensuring an enriching and superb experience for all. The event opened with recitation from Hafiz Safilullah of Class-7, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the evening. Muhammad Sami of Class-7, provided translation services, ensuring that everyone could partake in the spiritual messages shared during the recitation.

Saad Rafi of Class-7, delivered a warm and heartfelt welcome speech, extending greetings to the newcomers and promoted Class-5 and expressing the school’s enthusiasm in embracing them. In response, Junaid Ahmed of Class-7,  a newcomer, conveyed thanks on behalf of the newcomers and promoted Class-5, expressing their appreciation for the warm reception and their eagerness to contribute positively.

Adnan Hashim of Class-7, presented a welcome poem, celebrating diversity and unity among the young Gallians. Principal Lawrence College, Brig Mujahid Alam (Retd) delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the values of inclusivity, character building, honour purchase system, lock free cupboards and academic excellence that define the school ethos.

The programme concluded with an invitation to Iftar, fostering a sense of togetherness and solidarity among the Gallians. The event was a resounding success, promoting a sense of brotherhood and companionship among Gallians and staff alike. It exemplified the school’s dedication to nurturing a supportive and holistic learning environment.

Welcome Party Class VIII

On March 15, 2024, Class VIII, along with the newly enrolled students, received a heartfelt welcome to the Senior School. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including the Principal, heads of the schools, Senior School faculty members, and prefects.

The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a translation by Muhammad Rohan Ahmad and Larib Ali from Class VIII. In his welcoming speech, the deputy headboy, Abdul Hadhi Virk, advised the students to prioritize their studies and utilize their time wisely. He assured them of support and guidance from the seniors and underscored that they need not fret about adjusting to the College.

Mian Mazhar Shah and Rao Ahmad Ali from Class VIII shared their initial experiences at the Senior School, expressing gratitude for the warm reception from both teachers and seniors. They described the nurturing environment where teachers treat them as their own children and seniors as younger siblings, fostering comfort and conducive learning.

Addressing the newcomers, the Principal extended a warm welcome to the Senior School, assuring them of support and guidance from the entire school community. He emphasized that all students are like his own sons and would be treated as such.

After the program, the students and faculty relished a delightful iftari together.

Our Prime Purpose in this Life is to Help Others

Charity is a revered act that is generously rewarded by the Divine. It’s not merely about the amount/items one gives, but the sincerity and compassion behind it. During Ramadan, acts of charity are especially cherished by Allah and His Prophet PBUH. Inter-1998 exemplifies this spirit, recently donating 250 (5 x Liters), total 1250 pouches of 1 Litre cooking oil from Shahtaj company Ltd to support the junior staff at their alma mater. This generous donation was distributed among 283 custodian staff members who can now manage their Ramadan more comfortably. The Principal LCGG Brig. Mujahid Alam (Retd), staff, and everyone else involved extend their heartfelt gratitude to Inter-1998 for this thoughtful contribution.

Innovative Puppet Show at Lawrence College

On March 11, 2024, Lawrence College hosted a groundbreaking puppet show at Hamid Hall. The show was organized by the puppeteers of Pakistan National Council of Arts. This inaugural event not only aimed to entertain the young Gallians of the Prep and Junior Schools but also integrated valuable moral lessons on adapting to hostel life.

The puppet show seamlessly combined entertainment with education, incorporating cultural dances, moral stories, and songs that captivated the audience. The unique blend of amusement and enlightenment distinguished this event from others.

One of the show’s distinctive features was its focus on imparting valuable lessons about hostel life. Through creative puppetry, the performers addressed challenges and shared insights, aiding both existing students and newcomers in navigating the nuances of hostel living.

The show paid homage to martyrs too, fostering a sense of patriotism and remembrance among the attendees. This cultural touch added depth to the event, connecting the audience with broader societal values.

Particularly beneficial for newcomers, the puppet show served as a bridge to help them settle into hostel life. By addressing common concerns and offering guidance through the medium of puppetry, the event contributed to a smoother transition for those acclimating to their new environment.

The young boys in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the puppet show, expressing enthusiasm and engagement throughout. The interactive nature of the performance not only entertained but also facilitated a sense of community among the students.

In a nutshell, the Lawrence College Puppet Show was a resounding success. Its innovative approach to combining entertainment with moral education and hostel life insights made it a truly unique and memorable event. This initiative not only entertained the young Gallians but also contributed to their personal growth and integration into hostel life.

Green Feathers and Fertile Earth

Learning through collaboration with other institutes has always proven to be an effective tool for enhancing educational outcomes. Kohsar University in Murree exemplifies this approach, consistently achieving remarkable results in a limited timeframe. Their proactive engagement includes organizing various exchange programs, extending invitations, and spearheading innovative initiatives.

On March 7th 2024, during the “Green Feathers and Fertile Earth” event, Kohsar University showcased a holistic approach to environmental sustainability through food waste conversion for poultry farming and agricultural composition. The event commenced with a recitation followed by an introduction of program by Associate Professor Dr Ramla Shahid and a comprehensive program outline by Vice Chancellor Dr. Syed Habib Bokhari.

Workshop segments delved into diverse waste management solutions, highlighting the transformation of waste into valuable resources. Discussions encompassed the initiation of a project where Kohsar University will procure garbage from young scavengers for recycling, the implementation of kitchen gardens, and guidelines for responsible tourism in Northern areas. Attendees included Brig. Mujahid Alam (Retd). Principal LCGG, Biology teachers from Senior and Prep schools, administrative staff, head gardener, catering officers, RMO and DOS from Lawrence College Ghora Gali, Murree, reflecting a collaborative effort to maximize the benefits of the sessions.

As the new project unfolds, we anticipate its success and positive impact on society. Lawrence College stands ready to collaborate wherever possible, fostering a symbiotic relationship for the betterment of both institutions and the community.

Talk by Major General Kashif Azad, Old Gallian (Jinnah House 1981-1987)

On March 6, 2024, Major General Kashif Azad, an esteemed Old Gallian (Jinnah House 1981-1987), delivered an inspiring talk to Senior School students. With a distinguished military career, including service as the GOC of the Desert Hawks Division in Hyderabad, he shared valuable insights into his professional life. Accompanied by Col. Nasir Akhundzada, his house fellow from Jinnah House 1989, and Brig. Nadeem Rehmat Ullah from the AG Branch of GHQ, the talk encompassed various facets of military service and very valuable guidance for boys who want to join the armed forces.

Major General Kashif Azad highlighted the positive contributions of Gallians in different forces, emphasizing the opportunities within the Pakistan Army. His talk also delved into principles for a successful life, rooted in his belief and the transformative impact of Lawrence College’s training on personality development. The detailed presentation resonated with the students, serving as a highly motivating and inspiring source. His talk was followed by an interactive session with students asking many interesting questions.

The Principal expressed gratitude for Major General Kashif Azad’s interest and time for his alma mater and praised his commitment, involvement, and enthusiastic engagement with the students. The session ended with exchange of souvenirs. Brig. Nadeem Rehmat Ullah, representing the AG Branch of GHQ, presented souvenirs to the Intermediate Class students. The event reflected the enduring connection and affection of Gallians for their alma mater and teachers.

On the 9th of February, 2024, Principal Lawrence College visited PMA (Pakistan Military Academy) Kakul. During his stay, he had the distinct pleasure of meeting 18 young Gallians pursuing various courses, spanning from first term to those in their final term.

The Commandant PMA extended a warm welcome to the Principal, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect. He greatly appreciated Lawrence College for preparing, grooming and contributing such a big number of cadets for PMA. For Principal Lawrence College, this meeting was a poignant reunion with former students who had once been under his mentorship, fostering a sense of pride and ownership.

The purpose of the meeting was not merely a reunion; it held a deeper significance. The Principal, sought to encourage and motivate Gallian cadets in their journey at the prestigious military academy. It is for the first time in recent years that such a large number of our students are together under training at the PMA. Witnessing a substantial number of Gallians who chose the path of service to their nation was a source of immense satisfaction for the Principal. It was a testament to the enduring impact of Gallian grooming and guidance on the lives of these young individuals.

The meeting left an indelible mark on both the Principal and Gallians, fostering a sense of pride and motivation that will undoubtedly shape their future.

Talk by Mr. Pervez Abbasi

On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Mr. Pervez Abbasi, founding project director of NIC (National Incubation Centre, Islamabad) and a motivational speaker, addressed Gallians and the Senior School faculty, sharing insights on success. With over 30 years of diverse professional experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Mr. Abbasi is renowned for founding the award-winning National Incubation Centre, supporting and mentoring tech entrepreneurs.

During the talk, Mr. Pervaiz Abbasi emphasized defining success and making a meaningful impact on others’ lives. He guided students on preparing for future endeavors, encouraging them to become employers and develop organizations. The session concluded with students posing pertinent questions and receiving detailed answers.

In closing, the Principal thanked Mr. Pervaiz Abbasi for his valuable time, acknowledging the talk’s usefulness. He requested Mr. Pervaiz Abbasi to return for further discussions on important topics.

Mr. Khalid Aziz, Headboy 1962-63, Passes Away

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Khalid Aziz, a highly distinguished civil service officer. He studied in Lawrence College from 1956-63 and was headboy 1962-63.

A true luminary, Mr. Aziz left an indelible mark on our College community. As an old Gallian, he embodied the spirit and ethos of our institution, fostering a legacy of excellence that continues to inspire generations.

Mr. Aziz’s prowess extended beyond the academic realm; he was an exceptional sportsman whose achievements on the field mirrored his intellectual brilliance. He was an expert on the FATA affairs and played a key role in the formulation of FATA reforms. He also played his role in peace dialogues with Afghan governments. His dedication to both mind and body served as a beacon for students and colleagues alike.

In remembrance of Mr. Khalid Aziz, we honour not just a former Headboy but a multifaceted individual whose impact transcended the boundaries of time. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
