This painting is not an artist’s product of imagination and brush. Rear Admiral (R) Mian Zahir Shah dedicates his artistic skills and love for the alma mater on a piece of canvas. Undoubtedly the sentiment was so over whelming that he has to ignore proportion, time and the populace. In consequence the work shows a building which is very much expressive of the actual GG and yet as an illusion. He presented it to LCGG, on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary, in the style of W. B Yeats’s Cloth Of Gold. The work now decorates the walls of Hamid Library.
