We encourage parents to visit GG. This visit is an essential part of the admission process by which parents can detemine if the school is suitable for their child.
Junior School, Prep School and Senior School Entry
We advise parents to bring their child along for their first visit to the school. The trip will provide a good introduction to the School.
The benefit of this trip to the school is to experience life ‘first-hand’ in a boarding school. An informal introduction to the senior staff will help parents to get a grip on the academic focus and will be shown round the Boarding Houses, Sports Centre and other areas of the School (including Junior School Chapel, Library, Academic Block, Science Block, Dining Hall) by a current pupil and a member of the teaching staff. Afterwards, there will be a question and answer session with the relevant staff member.
Lesson and Games Sessions Observation are a vital part of parents’ visit to GG. Boys and their parents will be invited to see lessons taking place in some departments before meeting members of the teaching staff over college lunch.
